Cellulose-derided biofuels is on the cusp of commercialization, with at least two commercial scale plants under construction and the benefit of significant government financial support.
Igniting the Genius Within YOU

Background: Each of us know we have more potential than we normally operate from. We all have moments of brilliance and clarity that haunts us because we know we are capable and competent and smart and sometimes we don’t get what we aspire. Why? How do we access that genius within us? In his 18 years of working with over 15,000 executives, Dr. Kaipa found that there are four essential questions that provoke deeper inquiry into who we are and shift what we do. The questions are:

* What is my North Star? In other words what is the highest aspiration that I have for myself?
* What is my signature strength?
* What is my Core Incompetence? Where is my foot nailed to the floor?
* What is my Energy Trigger? What energizes me, inspires me or excites me reliably, repeatedly especially after a draining time?
* What is my biggest Energy Drain? What is the alarm system that is connected with my energy drain?

These elements are part of our personal DNA and on March 25th, together we will explore the questions and deepen our own understanding of where we are and where we want to go.

Agenda:
Event Details:
The Asian Lunar New Year has just ushered in the Year of the Rat, Year 4706. Marking the beginning of the lunar calendar cycle, the Year of the Rat portends a time of rebirths and new beginnings. What better way is it then to celebrate by connecting with old friends and forging new friendships. GuanXi, the Chinese words for “connection”, captures the Asian concept of the handshake and the relationship as the foundation of business success. And in the spirit of GuanXi, CSPA, SABA and VSVN, have arranged an exciting networking event within the halls of the venerable Computer History Museum.
Steve Westly, former California State Controller, Founder and CEO of the clean technology VC firm, the Westly Group, and a member of the board of Tesla Motors, is our esteemed keynote speaker for the evening. Appropriately, the theme of this year’s event is “Global Impact, Global Responsibility”. This event brings together professionals in technology, business, venture capital and law, and highlights the underpinnings of business in GuanXi. The evening will include a spirited performance, lots of food and drinks, as well as full access to all the cool displays and exhibits of the Computer History Museum.

Come and join us for a great evening of networking and camaraderie, and share in a raucous celebration for a prosperous 2008
